Kantu Cavaliers

I breed my Cavalier King Charles Spaniels with 3 goals:  Beauty, Health and Personality.  Like a three legged stool, each is equally important because without all three then they are not truly Cavaliers.  Kantu Cavalier puppies come with a written contract and health agreement.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are very loving, gentle dogs and need to be kept safe.   We do get to know our puppy buyers to ensure that they are going to a safe and loving home.  Please be patient with us while we get to know you.

Our puppies are generally sold as pets with a spay/neuter agreement and limited AKC registration not because they are not show quality but because I believe strongly that Cavaliers belong in a home environment as one of the family.  Once in awhile I will have a show quality puppy for sale on an unlimited registration but the approval process is much more rigorous.

Male or Female -  Common Misconceptions

1. Males are not as loving as females.  This is absolutely not true.  I have found that male Cavaliers bond much more strongly with their human family.  Females are very loving but the bond is just not as strong.
2. Males are harder to housebreak.  Again, this is not true, especially if you neuter your male dog before they become sexually active.  I have breeding male dogs that live in my house and never mark.
3. Male dogs roam.  Again, this is a problem that is cured by early neutering.
4. Male dogs are aggressive.  This might be true with other breeds but NO Cavalier should ever be aggressive.

Because of these misconceptions, our male Cavaliers are often priced a bit less than our females.  It is also less expensive to neuter a male than to spay a female so there are a couple of financial incentives to purchasing a male.
